Northeast Ohio USGBC
The USBBC is is a chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) which is the agency that developed Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) that certifies a building is "green" with precision from a point rating system and has LEED Accredited Professionals (AP) that have tested their proficiency of the LEED system through Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Companies may be members of the National USGBC and/or sponsors of a local chapter. Individuals may be members of their local chapter and the Northeast Ohio USGBC membership is only $50 per year. The Akron-Canton Extension is a sub-group that will be offering project tours, continueing education and networking opportunities in a more local setting to benefit members.
